He was a good one so I snatched him up

I love that I still learn new things about Dan. I mean, not everyday. I feel like constantly learning new things would be very overwhelming (and just a little scary, like, woah do I know you?). But learning new things every once in a while is endearing, folks. It just is. For instance, I learned THREE new things about Dan on our little southern adventure.

1. Boy likes antiquing. Which may not be weird for all of you who married hipsters but this guy hates shopping. He just doesn't like it. So when he wandered into an antique shop in Savannah, and then another... I was like. Damn. That's hot.

2. He's scared of heights. He had told me that before but I didn't really believe him (he's jumped out of a plane before!). I mean, he's a marine. Suck it up, Marine! But then we were up on the deck of a lighthouse and he was not a happy camper and all I wanted to do was hug him. So I did. After we went back inside the lighthouse.

3. He's says really awesome feminist things like "You see, I really struggle with that because it's inherently anti-woman." And then I was like, take me. I'm yours. And I ruined all my feminist cred (which you get from simply saying you're a feminist, duh). But maybe the fact that I married a feminist makes up for it?

And that's the amazing man I married. I think it's love, guys.

p.s. what I wore on vacation

I am always at a loss for how to pack. I am the chronic over-packer and I hate that. Before our great southern adventure I had read this article on Cup of Jo (who I love. seriously, girl crush). The tip was simple: pack varieties of blues and whites (so that you can mix and match) and have a great statement dress (she used red and I loved it so much that I did the same) for some fun.
So, I went with that advice and I must say: I used every single piece I brought with me AND it was really easy to do. So, without further ado, here is the rundown of what I wore on vacay.

Cardigan, sandals: Target; Dress: American Eagle; Belt: Thrifted
Button-up, Hat: Forever 21; Jeggings: American Eagle, Sandals: Target
Oversized shirt/dress: Forever 21 (SO comfortable)
Dress: J Crew, Hat: Forever 21, Sandals: Target
Dress: Francesca's Collection; Sandals: Target
Pretty simple, and just what I needed. Perfect advice.

we saw The Boss

It was pretty epic. Probably the only time I've used the adjective 'epic' and knew that it was a proper use of the word. The pictures kinda suck because the people at the coliseum HATE ME and wouldn't let me take in our good camera. So we sneaked in our crappy camera (always have a plan B. similar to always leave a note!)

ANYWAY it was amazing. His new album is good, but I almost died during the last 30 minutes when he pretty much only played songs from his Born to Run album.

And he was way energetic. I felt tired just from dancing in my little row but Springsteen was running all over the stage, dancing, jumping up onto things, jumping back off of them, kissing his hot wife (who is also in the band), and playing like, well, like The Boss.

If I had a bucket list this would have been on the top of it. Shoot maybe I'll make one now just so I can cross this one off and know that I can die happy.

And then we woke up at four in the morning and drove three hours to get to work and school. So worth it.
He slid across the stage, guys. The man is a sex machine.

little video

I wasn't very great at the consistency of filming our trip, but that's okay. I certainly documented it enough with photos!

Also, Mumford and Sons. They are pretty much the only music Dan and I agree on - we listened to it a lot during our hours on the road. It set a good tone, I thought.
