I grew up with only dogs so this was quite the revelation. We got our new baby girl, Athena, last night. She is a beautiful black, 6 month old cat, with big round eyes. She is adorable and I can't stop following her around, and neither can Houston. Poor guy, he is just trying to figure her out and she won't let him get close enough to sniff her. She's a little unsure of Houston but she had no problem making herself at home on our bed about 20 minutes after we let her out of the carrier. Let's be honest, it is the most comfortable place in the apartment and cats have a high standard of living. Anyway, I love her and I think Houston might even be a little jealous. But I'm not choosing favorites, I swear.
rach...WHAT is the blue fur on houston's neck? he's going to think you're playing favorites if you keep making him wear a furry blue collar.
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I'm definitely a cat person too :) Athena is gorgeous, and I love the markings on Houston.
ReplyDeleteIt's okay to be cat people, even if it's only for the next thirteen years or so. :-) Our "cat person" situation is temporary, too. Or... that's the lie I tell myself. Why aren't I in Norway yet, again?
ReplyDeleteAhh, sweet.
ReplyDeleteAthena is a cutie, oh no houston is jealous. buy him a treat. love you grams
ReplyDeleteBran, Houston has been scratching his neck and in the process making his collar fuzzy -- I think he likes it though :)
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone!
Oh, such sweet kitties! No worries; my husband and I are cat people, too, and we love our little fuzzy babies.
