Oh boy.

And today I had a minor meltdown.
It has been so easy to get ready in the morning with only 30 options but I was obviously very excited to get back to the rest of my closet. But, this morning. This morning I had an idea in my head of what I was going to wear and then when I put it on I hated it. No joke. I looked in the mirror and was completely turned off by the end result. This is nothing new. Daniel can attest to the mountain of clean clothes that get thrown on the floor every morning, cast off because it didn't look right, or feel right, or I was bloated, or whatever. But for the past thirty days, this clothing slaughter has been on hiatus. Is anyone else having closet shock? All the sudden you have so many options and it's really overwhelming and made you ten minutes late because you were super indecisive? I mean, I finally ran out the door and I had clothes on because "when I walk outside naked, people throw garbage at me" (brownie points if you can place that quote), but woah, the transition is harder than I thought.

Also, I got this amazing skirt at goodwill the other day. It's a fabulous color blue and it fits me perfectly except it is too long. I got it thinking that sewing a hem should be no big deal. Boy, was I wrong. A blind hem seems to be the hardest thing ever on a machine. I've made multiple attempts and all I have to show for it is a broken a needle. This is the life of an amateur sewer. I refuse to give up though. That machine will not get the better of me. I'm going to show him who is boss. Or maybe take the skirt to a seamstress.
That is one heck of a broken needle.

  1. Hah! I'm first. Friends. And I think it's the episode with Chandler in handcuffs. Possibly? Haha! Oh, I love Friends. And because I've been particularly lonely lately, I've begun to believe that they also love me!! (Don't be afraid. Only 38 more days until these delusions cease.)

  3. Friends! I'm so jealous and impressed that you've finished. I couldn't keep up with the daily photos, and have fallen way behind, but determined to get there in the end! I'm going to go back and have a look at your completed 30 for some inspiration.

Good luck with your new skirt, at least you have a sewing machine, I have been known to try these things with freehand needle and thread =- not my best idea...

I was so excited to wear my other clothes again that 2 days before the fact I put together enough outfits for two weeks worth of wear.
