I made a skirt!
I. made. a. skirt.
And while the level of difficulty on this particular item of clothing on a scale of 1-10 is about a negative 2, I am so proud of myself. Mostly I just needed an ego boost and my bff Brandilyn looks so dang cute in the one she made -- so I decided to go for it. Here is the tutorial if you want to try. There are a few things that aren't perfect about my skirt for instance it is waay too big, and possibly too long (thoughts?), and I didn't know that when cutting elastic for your natural waist you need to cut it like 1-3 inches shorter than what your size is. But it's all a learning process though and I am learning a lot.
What a perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon, adding a Rachel original to my closet. I feel so crafty.
Also, almost all of the contents of both bookshelves belong to Daniel. That is what he brought to this marriage, a library. Oh, and a killer smile.
