The most beautiful name in the whole wide world.

Isn't my sister beautiful?

I would take a picture, look at it, and say, "Jennie, you are so pretty."

"Rach, you're weird. Stop." She would reply.

She's lots of other things, too. She's funny, and adventurous, and a good listener. She's got a good head on her shoulders and she's got some pretty exciting things coming up in her life. I'm thrilled to see where she's headed and where she ends up.

It was hard to say goodbye to her. I teared up a bit as I left her at the airport.
Having her here was really good.

the graduate.

She graduated!! I can't believe that little girl who used to chase us around the house (her nickname was babezilla) is 18 years old and done with High School. Gosh, she is beautiful. We had a fabulous couple of days. I was literally in California for 48 hours. Whew. It was too short and super busy but I loved seeing my family and sharing this moment with Jennie. Congratulations my beautiful sister!

mix it up.

"What do you say we leave for california?
All my bags are packed and I'm ready to go,
I'm leaving on a jet plane,
and I'm riding solo."

I just really feel like I should mix songs and be a DJ. I think that that mixture of lyrics proves it right there. I'm gonna make it big. In California. But first, I get to see my little sister graduate! Love you Jennie! I can't wait to see you cross that stage!

Daylight savings totally throws me off. I'm awake early and have nothing to do but get ready for church and since that won't take 4 hours I'll just put up day 6 of the Cool Little Photo Challenge.

Day Six:
A Photo That Makes You Laugh

This photo cracks me up. Here's the story: Grandma was using a motor chair to get around disneyland and while we were in the backlot of California Adventure Jennie wanted to take it for a spin. As she was riding Annie came rushing over because she wanted to try but ended up on Jennie's lap. There is a whole series of pictures in which Jennie's facial expressions are priceless but not as priceless as the appalled asian lady watching in the background. Here's a close-up:

Jennie is probably one of the funniest people I know, she makes me laugh.
