back, back, back it up

Well, it's been a while and quite a few fun things have happened since I last posted. My parents, grandma, and in-laws were here for graduation, we went camping in the Appalachian Mountains with our good friends the Grahams, and I just got back from a trip to Idaho to see my best friend Brandilyn and her new baby.

Plus, I got an iPhone. It's been a great month.

But now it's back to reality and studying for the GRE and the LSAT. Ugh. That's no where near as fun as galavanting around city, state, and country. But, alas, it's necessary.

hooky, the lame kind

I played hooky today. But not in a fun way. If I played hooky the fun way I would be in Raleigh right now shopping at the nearest H&M. But I'm not.
I'm sitting at this desk working on my research paper.
I don't like missing class (and I'm missing four of them) but with five other classes to concentrate on this poor little paper has gotten the shove.
I didn't forget about it though. Nope, I've been stressing for about three weeks. So I decided that a day off to focus on it was necessary and I was right. I have a clearly stated question, a general outline of what I want, a plan of attack, and tons of sources to scour through.
It's good. It's time consuming. It's tedious.
I just remember being here and here last semester. And all I want in the world right now is to be here. Actually, I want to be here. But I don't think that's an option.

dump.

So, if you look to the right of this post you'll see a list of past months and numbers. Those numbers obviously tell you how many posts written in said month but I think they also tell you how busy my life is (except for those first few months which simply tell you how uninteresting/boring my life was).
I have been so lax in posting this summer and that probably has something to do with my four summer classes (straight A's, baby!) and two jobs not to mention the fabulous visit with my sister this past week (hence the photo dump). All of these things add up to very little time on my hands. Unfortunately, this time crunch doesn't seem to be letting up in the near future. Fall semester starts next week and I just bought twenty-four books for the occasion. Twenty-four. You can imagine I'll be spending a lot of time on my bum with a book in my hands this Fall. Luckily, that is one of my very favorite places to be. Can you believe Fall is almost here? I'm trying to talk myself out of some insanely-expensive-but-oh-so-gorgeous boots that Fall keeps urging me to purchase. I'm trying to listen to the frugal part of me but it almost seems futile, Fall always wins
